Blog Poetry Slam 10: Gravity

Welcome to the 10th installment of Naturally Alise's Blog Poetry Slam.... so the rules are the same as every week:

I will present a word/theme AND picture. In the comments write a poem (no matter how short or long, serious or silly) that:

Uses or relates to the word or theme
OR
Relates to one of the pictures

Isn't that simple!?!? After the word and picture will be my poem for an example of what to do. I will write a new piece in the comments along with you guys!

*GRAVITY*

I just can't appreciate the gravity of your problems...
Gravity is about the only thing that should hold you down.
Gratification of the instant variety.....
Is about as satisfying as grits by the same name.
......Not a great breakfast,
When will you understand there are no fast breaks in life,
Instead you will break real fast....

Crazy, dizzy, buzzing busily...like the flight of the bumble bee
But so much flyer
Atmospheric pressure defy-er
An earth angel
Wears her wings tat'd on her ribs
Cuz on her back they got mangled
Cuz on her back they got tangled
In power lines during her indecent descent
Faith and purity spent
With no return on investment
She chose the red pill
tossed her halo so she could feel
Now she's falling
Damn GRAVITY is ill!

Resting soundly
on clouds of dreams.
Even reality
is not
as real as it seems.
Higher and Higher,
Soaring with smiles of contentment.
Delve into the atmospheric layer of lovespeak,
Where pessimism and negativity are of the days of old, with resentment.
Like Icarus, flying just a tad too close to where truth resounds,
As the feathers that made your wings dissipate and gravity thrusts you to the ground.

This load's too heavy

I am breaking my young back

I need to lift weights

I appreciate depth but down is depressing
I am high like Him
Gravity is grief and levitating is greatness
Lift up
Chin up
Speak up
Don't talk downwards drowning words
'cause that shit is for shallow people
and I'm just too damn deep.

@GOODENess, you are so dope, made me think of a Mos Def lyric: "I sat still in hopes that it would help my wings grow/ So then I could really be fly "

@NaturallySarcastic, I peeped you catching up on on the old blog slams, that really rocked my socks!!! loved this line: Delve into the atmospheric layer of lovespeak, for some reason i just thought that sounded so cool....

@dollykins, thanks hun for coming through with your new found sport of haiku, muah!

@verbfashion, your wordplay is so sick, you're poet after my own art. ;-)

Dollykins inspired me to do a haiku and I haven't spit one in a while, so here goes:

i will not fall down

I can't seem to move
Inside the earth is so strong
I am stuck on you.

I am so damn tired
Moving feels like a force of
Nature weighing down

I'm a amateur at this but I really loved this idea so I had to support! :-) Here goes nothing lol.....

Heart, mind, soul gravitating
Wondering when my sanity departed
And the negativity started
Wanting to cry, laugh, break dishes
Hoping the man above would grant one of my wishes
Allow GRAVITY to elevate instead of destroy
Let peace and serenity forever in my heart implore
